Digital Micro Mirror Device (DMD)

The main item of the GFM optical 3D measuring devices is the digital micro mirror projector developed by the company Texas Instruments and labeled as DMD™ (Digital Micro Mirror Device). On the use of these highly integrated micro mirrors arrays the digital light projection realized by GFM is based. Due the computer controlled change of the micro mirror slope the incoming light will be dircted either in the projection optics or alongside it and thus within a video frame the generation of the gray scaled projection image is enabled.
