A special feature of the GFM measuring systems is the use of the digital fringe projections technique. Here the fringes are generated by means of the micro mirror device developed by Texas Instruments. The advantage of this digital light projection technique in addition to the precise control of the light projection are the high available light intensity, the high achievable contrast and the high flexibility in terms of available projection patterns. Further on exists the possibility to adapt the inentensity of the light projection to the reflection properties of the measuring object surface.
