Page 2 of 2 Example: Calculation of the combustion chamber volume A combustion chamber in the cylinder head of, for example, 20 ccm, has been measured with a resolution of 0.002 ccm and a specific accuracy of 0.02 ccm. The measuring time was approx. 1 minute (including several repeated measurements and evaluations). Due to an extremely simple and user-friendly operation, operating errors can be excluded as far as possible. That means, that the VolumeChecker is up to 10 times more accurate in comparison the volume gauging since there, even with the highest precautions, deviations of 0.1 ccm are common in practice. The VolumeChecker has been used by a great variety of manufacturers over the years in order to calculate combustion chamber volumes.
