Page 1 of 2 VolumeCheckerportableOptical 3D metrology for the measuring of combustion volumes | With the development of the contact-less VolumeCheckerportable we go new ways in order to comply with the demands in automotive engineering for the reduction of pollutant emissions and with the increasing output of combustion engines. Due to the very fast measurement of the combustion chamber volume and the 3D-data acquisition, a continuously more accurate production, optimization and calibration of the individual combustion chambers of an engine cylinder head can be realized. It is also possible to measure different types of cylinder heads, as well as the piston head volume in the crank case, with only one device. The equipment is characterised by a simple and functional handling.
