PRIMOS body - Optical 3D Scanner for the in vivo measurements of faces or body parts The optical 3D measuring device allows the 3D measurement of human body parts or the face including a high resolution colour texture of the measured areas. The measuring field of 300 x 200 mm² leads to an accuracy of 50 µm. Therefore, the use for cosmetic and medical applications in particular the dermatology, plastic surgery, aesthetic medicine and orthopaedics as well as biometry. The evaluation software generates polygon meshes of the scanned surface which are used for a comparison before and after a treatment. 3D data of faces may also be used for rapid production of precise face masks in medicine (apnoea) or industry. | | | | Applications | | | - Measurement of body parts, e.g. face
